"There's No Business Like Show Business!"
The tempestuous and romantic story of Annie Oakley and Frank Butler

After seven years and 11 shows, this was my final production at Bialik High School. I wanted to go out with a bang, so I tried some things I hadn't tried before. Because the story of Annie Oakley and Frank Butler is shown as part of Buffalo Bill's show, I was able to play with the overt theatricality of the piece, and bring that to life through the caricatured set design. I took a naturalistic but dynamic approach to the lighting design - something where I could play up the "showy" bits but still keep the feel that this was all happening back in the 1880s.
